There is a new trend in the over sized floral accessory and I LOVE it! As a Stylish Big Girl, we can easily carry off the flower and it is a quick accent to a simple outfit. As a rule of thump, always look for larger accessories so that they are complimentary to your shape or height. You can even have oversize flowers custom made for an economical price. As a Stylish Big Girl sometimes it is hard to find clothes that are cute and different so that is why I LOVE to shop online! My recent online boutique of choice is Sealed With A Kiss Plus Size Boutique. I love the colors and trendy style options. I have ordered a total of 4 items from them and like them all!

I love their Facebook page because they share specials ( 50% of Sunday Sales) and pictures of real women in the clothes.

The Vest is YOUR Friend!

Stylish Big Girl, fall is upon us and the weather is getting cooler. One of my FAV items for fall is the puffer vest or some call it the quilted vest. This vest will make any of your outfits feel trendy. The good news is that you can wear it open or closed sooooo that expands your shopping and size options! Lastly, a vest will typically define your waist and add positively to your shape.... So for my stylish big girl... the vest is your friend!


Spice it up with Accessories!

Accessories are required for any Stylish Big Girl! Webster defines accessories as an object or device not essential in itself but adding to the beauty, convenience, or effectiveness of something else. Accessories range from earrings to bracelets to scarves to belts. The key to great accessories is about finding the right accent colors. For example, invest in a red scraf, red belt and or red bracelets. These items can then be worn with any outfit that contains red or a solid black outfit or a solid winter white outfit. If you are not big on colors, try to find a set of fashionable gold or silver jewelry. These metal tones are very big this season and can add spice to your outfit and maybe to your life!



My "Essentials" Bag!

So if you are like me, you love purses, pocketbooks and handbags! Like me you like to change your bag according to the color you are wearing for that day. This posed a dilemma for me because I would always forget something when I changed my bags. Where is my lotion? Where is a pen? I can't find my MAC lip glass! These were all things I said every time I changed my handbag because I would always forget to move EVERYTHING to the new bag.

Solution: I was in CATO one day and saw this cute little sassy bag! In this small bag, I keep all of my essential items such as lip gloss, lotion, cell phone, Advil, a pen, fingernail file, and etc. When I change my handbag, I just make sure I grab my "essentials bag"!

It fits nicely in all of my handbags ---- Problem solved!

As a Stylish Big Girl, you must have a fabulous collection of purses, pocketbooks, handbags and or clutches! This accessory will boost your fashion style instantly.


So what are the basic things you should keep in mind when creating your purse/handbag collection:

1) Always look at the colors in your closet. Your goal is to stretch your wardrobe. If you have a lot of black, it is okay to have several black pocketbooks. For daytime, you may want a nice satchel style bag and then for evening you may want to switch to the smaller and sleeker clutch bag.

2) Don't forget to look at your shoes! Try to purchase some handbags that match shoes that you already have. This will make you look very put together. For example, if you have some fabulous red shoes, why not get a great red bag!


For the Stylish Big Girls who don't like to change their purses (we are praying for you!), PLEASE invest in a quality handbag. Don't have a torn up, raggedy pocketbook that you carry every day!
